Welcome Aboard
Our Club has been part of the Napier community since 1951, when it began as the Ex Royal Navalmen’s Association Napier. It was created as a place for former naval personnel to connect, share experiences and support one another.
As the years passed, our membership and focus widened, but the values we were founded on stayed the same. Loyalty, respect and camaraderie still sit at the heart of everything we do.
To reflect our broader community and the future we’re building, we now carry a new name—The Navy Club Napier. Our founding name remains an important part of our heritage, and you’ll continue to see it recognised in our history.
The Navy Club Napier is a welcoming space for anyone with an interest in naval life, local connection or shared tradition. We’re proud to carry our story forward and invite you to be part of what comes next.
Our Mission
To support the welfare of our members, preserve naval heritage, and uphold the bonds of friendship among all who have served.
We do this through:
Member Welfare – assisting members and their families in times of need.
Comradeship & Events – hosting reunions, remembrance services, and social gatherings.
Community Engagement – participating in ANZAC and naval commemorations across Hawke’s Bay.
Heritage & Education – keeping naval history alive for future generations.
Honouring Rich Naval Heritage
The White Ensign flies proudly, symbolising our commitment to preserving naval history and honouring the sacrifices of our service members.
